What is TeenKom?
TeenKom is both an art project and a social model-project, a role game and reality. Adolescents can establish their own community with the TeenKom system, monitor their doings on an internet-based administration platform and can also acquire and execute short term jobs (in TeenKom named “Flash Jobs”). In a fun and inspiring atmosphere, teenagers will gain self-determination, trust and motivation concerning their own future.
Teenkom: Safe and colorful
MEWA, one of the largest suppliers of protective clothing, has decided to equip TeenKom flash jobbers with all safety items required for work at constructions sites. ABC-08, the 101-year-old soccer club in Berlin Adlershof, has commissioned TeenKom to create a 12-meter-long mural on the clubhouse facade. Why do people engage in TeenKom?
From which perspective do people get active? How do the deals look like? What do people get out of it? In 2009 we will go behind the curtain of TeenKom and, with the motto „Therefore take part!" we will ask participants directly. Since the interviews will all be conducted in German language, we will reduce the act of translation to a resume of several contributions once the series of interviews has been established. TeenKom Schoeneweide
At the end of August 2008 – after four month of planning – the new TeenKom project in Berlin's borough of Schoeneweide has started. Adolescents encountered on the streets will be invited to participate. Networking with local shops, companies and potential private TeenKom clients will proceed. ...more
